Company History

Since 1994, Sponsorships Unlimited (SU) has been the premier sponsorship agency in Southeast Virginia, also known as The Hampton Roads Market. We provide sales outsourcing and consulting services to organizers of events, festivals, and venues in the entertainment, sports, live concert, performing arts, fashion, and cause related industry.

Along with specializing is sponsorship, SU provides expertise in media placement, promotional marketing, experiential marketing, event production and customized campaigns that fit the needs and budget of the client.

SU broke into the market by securing a Name In Title deal for the first outdoor amphitheater in Hampton Roads, The GTE Virginia Beach Amphitheater in 1995. SU then began producing its own events and festivals, and sold other Naming Rights deals along the way, such as the Pontiac American Music Festival, Ntelos Pavilion Harbor Center (now known as Ntelos Wireless Pavilion), the Chick-fil-A Holiday of Lights, and the Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships.

SU partners with some of the most highly anticipated events in Southeast Virginia, such as the Boardwalk Art Show & Festival (one of the top 100 art shows in the country as selected by Sunshine Artists Magazine), the Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships, the Steel Pier Classic & Surf Art Expo, Hunt Club Farm Fall Harvest Festival and Haunted Hayride Halloween Festival, the Virginia Beach Christmas Market, the Virginia Flower and Garden Expo, the Gosport Arts Festival, Stockley Gardens Spring and Fall Art Festivals, Mid-Atlantic Home and Garden Show, and McDonald Garden Center's Outdoor Show..

The major focus of our business is helping corporate clients, events, and festivals achieve their sponsorship goals.

SU also partners with national brands and mobile tours throughout North America to assist them in selecting the events and venues (sponsorship opportunities) that will strengthen their brand awareness and increase their visibility in this region.

About the Market

The Hampton Roads Market is a region of seven suburban cities consisting of 1.5 million people. The region is surrounded by bodies of water such as the Atlantic Ocean, The Chesapeake Bay, and the Elizabeth River which especially make the outdoor events unique. A major tourism attraction is the City of Virginia Beach, the largest resort city on the east coast.
